What is FCE?
The Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) is the third level of the Cambridge exams in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). It is a broad-based and comprehensive English language test.
Aim:
FCE Classes at ALBA are intended
- To strengthen students' 4 English language skills : reading, writing, speaking and listening.
- To prepare students for the FCE exam.
- To help students who plan on immigrating to or planning to study in an English-speaking country.
Outcomes:
- Prepare students to deal confidently with ifferent types of text, such as fiction, newspapers and magazines.
- Prepare students to be able to produce a range of different pieces of writing, such as letters, reports, review and short stories.
- Prepare students to follow and understand a variety of spoken material, such as news programmes, presentations and everday conversations.
- Prepare students to communicate effectively in face-to-face situation in order to prepare them for the paired speaking test.
Eligibility
- High-school graduates planning to enhance their English proficiency skills in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.
- Those who wish to test their level of English proficiency skills and get international recognition, and those who plan to study abroad.
Teachers:
Teachers for all classes are qualified and well-experienced native English-speaking teachers.
