FCE PREPERATION COURSES

What is FCE?

The Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) is the third level of the Cambridge exams in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). It is a broad-based and comprehensive English language test.

Aim:

FCE Classes at ALBA are intended

• To strengthen students' 4 English language skills : reading, writing, speaking and listening.
• To prepare students for the FCE exam.
• To help students who plan on immigrating to or planning to study in an English-speaking country.

Outcomes:

• Prepare students to deal confidently with ifferent types of text, such as fiction, newspapers and magazines.
• Prepare students to be able to produce a range of different pieces of writing, such as letters, reports, review and short stories.
• Prepare students to follow and understand a variety of spoken material, such as news programmes, presentations and everday conversations.
• Prepare students to communicate effectively in face-to-face situation in order to prepare them for the paired speaking test.

Eligibility

• High-school graduates planning to enhance their English proficiency skills in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.
• Those who wish to test their level of English proficiency skills and get international recognition, and those who plan to study abroad.

Teachers:

Teachers for all classes are qualified and well-experienced native English-speaking teachers.
